Pay $26.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Grand Industrial is seeking motivated Millwrights of all experience levels — apprentice, journeyman, and senior — to join our growing industrial services team in the Logansport, Indiana area. Whether you’re an apprentice looking to build your career or a seasoned Journeyman or Senior Millwright, we want to hear from you.

Our work includes industrial maintenance, equipment installation, machinery relocation, shutdowns, mechanical repairs, and construction projects throughout the region. We are looking for dependable individuals who take pride in producing quality work while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.

Candidates with additional experience in welding, pipe fitting, ironworking, rigging, fabrication, or other industrial trades are highly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • Assist with equipment installations, removals, and machinery relocations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
  • Support planned shutdowns, outages, and maintenance projects.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Work effectively alongside Project Managers, Foremen, and fellow craftsmen.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company and customer safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Apprentice, Journeyman, or Senior Millwright experience welcomed.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Industrial maintenance or construction experience preferred.
  • Experience in a steel mill or heavy industrial environment is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel, work overtime, weekends, or shutdown schedules as needed.

Preferred Additional Experience

The ideal candidate may also have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Welding (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux Core)
  • Pipe Fitting
  • Ironworking
  • Rigging and Equipment Setting
  • Fabrication
  • Conveyor Systems
  • Bearings, Gearboxes, Pumps, Motors, and Mechanical Drives
  • Industrial Maintenance
  • Precision Alignment and Equipment Installation

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions when required.
