Grand Industrial Newsletter – July 2025

Summer of 2025 is still here, and you still have time to get some of those outdoor projects completed before the weather turns bad. Grand Industrial can help you out with any project that you may still have to do, from providing certain equipment to the specific craft trade need. With abilities for supplying dumpsters, excavators, and cranes to concrete, framing and specialty finishes, if you need it, Grand Industrial has it. They also have experienced and trained personnel to estimate, manage, and complete the projects that work in your best interests!

From the inset picture above, we were told by the customer “This project will not be really simple.” This was regarding the rigging job that was needed for them and followed up with a scope description. “We need to get this large fryer into this area and set it into this pit. Because of the low ceiling height and area where this needs to be set, we will need to do a tandem lift. “

Our certified riggers went to work checking weights, picking locations on the equipment and determined what tools and equipment will best besuited to complete this project safely & to the applications needed. Certain specialty auxiliary rigging equipment including triangle spreader plates, nylon straps, and the proper shackles were selected for the lifts to be done. Working with certified signal people and operators, our crew was able to successfully set this piece of equipment into the pit.

Our project manager conveyed “good teamwork and good operators made this job work. “We came up with a plan and executed it properly, and the crew worked well together. They have been trained well and used those skills for this project.”

Critical lifts like this certainly take consideration measures such as planning, understanding the capabilities of the rigging equipment, the safety concerns, and surrounding areas. Please feel free to give Grand Industrial a call when you have your next rigging project that comes up. Having trained and certified riggers & operators will be key to getting your project completed on time, inside of budget, and done safely.

Safety is a priority at Grand Industrial and is woven into everything we do here. Toolbox safety talks are required and are done daily for each job with our project managers, superintendents, and foreman that lead these each day and record them back to our Safety Director. Grand Industrial will always keep this outlook and will strive to be the safest contractor on your jobsite.
