- Possess basic hand tools and use them properly
- Accurately measure cut and prepare various types of steel
- Self-motivated with team work skills
- Safely operate forklift and overhead crane
- Safely use power tools
- Experience with shop equipment, such as, Pirahna Ironworker, Vertical and Horizontal Bandsaw, Cutting Torch, Shear, Brake Press, and Bridgeport
- Ability to read both construction and shop prints
- Fit, fabricate, and weld from drawings
- Ability to layout beams, columns, stair stringers, and structural handrailing
- Willingness to learn and do whatever is necessary to meet our daily goals
- Willing to work in fabrication shop and in the field
- Able to work over time when necessary
- Ability to MIG and TIG weld both stainless and carbon steel
